Your .NET MAUI App Works. Now Give It to a Real User.

Paul Usher

Building a .NET MAUI application is easy. Building one that survives workshops, warehouses, field technicians, unreliable connectivity, large datasets, cameras, signatures, PDFs and users who absolutely will press that button twice is another matter entirely. In this session, we'll look at lessons learned from building and deploying real-world .NET MAUI business applications across iOS and Android. We'll explore practical patterns for responsive mobile UI, local data, offline workflows, asynchronous operations, device capabilities and interfaces that need to work equally well on phones and tablets. We'll also look at what .NET 11 brings to the MAUI landscape, including the move to CoreCLR, and where that may change the way we think about performance and application architecture. The examples come from production applications used in workshops and field-service environments, where network connectivity, hardware differences and unpredictable user behaviour are part of the specification whether we like it or not. No Todo apps. No perfect Wi-Fi. Just production software and the lessons learned when it meets the real world.
