Dual-screen and foldable devices introduce more than just extra space. Applications need to adapt their layout while preserving state, focus and the user's context as the available screen configuration changes. In this session, we'll explore how to build dual-screen experiences with Avalonia using TwoPaneView and the framework's capabilities. Through several practical samples, we'll look at common patterns such as list-detail interfaces, navigation experiences, editors and content that can move naturally between one and two panes. We'll demonstrate how these interfaces behave across different form factors, including iPhone Duo and other Android devices, and see how the same UI can adapt when running on a conventional desktop or single-screen device. Along the way, we'll cover pane placement, spanning and folding scenarios, responsive layouts, state preservation or manage the focus state. You'll leave with practical patterns and reusable techniques for building Avalonia applications that work naturally on both single-screen and dual-screen devices.
