.NET Aspire Support Policy
Last updated: 2024年9月26日
Microsoft Support for .NET Aspire
Every Microsoft product has a lifecycle, including .NET Aspire. The lifecycle begins when a product is released and ends when it's no longer supported. Knowing key dates in this lifecycle helps you make informed decisions about when to upgrade or make other changes to your software. This product is governed by the Microsoft Modern Lifecycle.
The .NET Aspire support policy works slightly differently from the .NET and .NET Core support policy.
Release Cadence
.NET Aspire ships minor releases at various times during the year. Starting with .NET 9.0, .NET Aspire will ship a major version at the same time as .NET releases, so .NET Aspire 9.0 will ship with .NET 9.0, and so forth.
Supported versions
The following table lists .NET Aspire versions that are actively supported.
Version | Original release date | Latest patch version | Patch release date | End of support |
---|---|---|---|---|
.NET Aspire 8.2 | 2024年8月29日 | 8.2.1 | 2024年9月26日 | When next major or minor version is released. |
Out of support versions
The following table lists .NET Aspire versions no longer supported.
Version | Original release date | Latest patch version | Patch release date | End of support |
---|---|---|---|---|
.NET Aspire 8.1 | 2024年7月23日 | 8.1.0 | 2024年7月23日 | 2024年8月29日 |

Versioning and Support
At any time, only the latest release of .NET Aspire is supported by Microsoft. For example: support for .NET Aspire 8.0 ends when .NET Aspire 8.1 is released.
To receive technical support from Microsoft, you need to be on the latest servicing level (update) for the latest .NET Aspire release.
Servicing Updates
Servicing updates may be made available for supported versions of .NET Aspire. .NET Aspire updates may include a mix of security and non-security fixes in a single patch update. In months where there is a security fix, the update ships on the second Tuesday of the month (also known as Patch Tuesday) along with updates for .NET.
Support of containers used by .NET Aspire
.NET Aspire enables the use of third-party containers through resources and integrations. The .NET team cannot evaluate the underlying third-party containers for which we have API support for suitability for specific customer requirements.
You should evaluate whichever containers you chose to compose and automate with Aspire to ensure they meet your, your employer's, or your government’s requirements on security and safety as well as cryptographic regulations and any other regulatory or corporate standards that may apply to your use of the container.
Updates to .NET Aspire will from time to time bring updates to third-party containers.
