Have you tried ML.NET?
It's a new machine learning framework made specifically for .NET developers.

Install .NET Core 2.0.8 Runtime on Linux Ubuntu 14.04 - x64

Not sure where to start? See the Hello World in 10 minutes tutorial to install .NET and build your first app.

This release has reached end of life, meaning it is no longer supported. We recommend moving to a supported release, such as .NET Core 3.0. See our support policy for more details.

Not running x64? You'll need to download the .NET Core binaries instead.

Register your Red Hat subscription

In order to install .NET Core from Red Hat on RHEL, you first need to register using the Red Hat Subscription Manager. If this has not been done on your system, or if you are unsure, see the Red Hat Product Documentation for .NET Core.

Install the .NET Runtime

After registering with the Subscription Manager, you are ready to install and enable the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
yum install rh-dotnet20-dotnet-runtime-2.0 -y
scl enable rh-dotnet20 bash

Register Microsoft key and feed

Before installing .NET, you'll need to register the Microsoft key, register the product repository, and install required dependencies. This only needs to be done once per machine.

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

Terminal
wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/config/ubuntu/14.04/packages-microsoft-prod.deb -O packages-microsoft-prod.deb
sudo dpkg -i packages-microsoft-prod.deb

Install the .NET Runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dotnet-hosting-2.0.8

Register Microsoft key and feed

Before installing .NET, you'll need to register the Microsoft key, register the product repository, and install required dependencies. This only needs to be done once per machine.

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

Terminal
wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/config/ubuntu/16.04/packages-microsoft-prod.deb -O packages-microsoft-prod.deb
sudo dpkg -i packages-microsoft-prod.deb

Install the .NET Runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install dotnet-hosting-2.0.8

Register Microsoft key and feed

Before installing .NET, you'll need to register the Microsoft key, register the product repository, and install required dependencies. This only needs to be done once per machine.

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

Terminal
wget -qO- https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc | gpg --dearmor > microsoft.asc.gpg
sudo mv microsoft.asc.gpg /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/
wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/config/debian/8/prod.list
sudo mv prod.list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/microsoft-prod.list
sudo chown root:root /etc/apt/trusted.gpg.d/microsoft.asc.gpg
sudo chown root:root /etc/apt/sources.list.d/microsoft-prod.list

Install the .NET Runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install apt-transport-https
sudo apt-get update

Add the dotnet product feed

Before installing .NET, you'll need to register the Microsoft key, register the product repository, and install required dependencies. This only needs to be done once per machine.

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo rpm -Uvh https://packages.microsoft.com/config/centos/7/packages-microsoft-prod.rpm

Install the .NET Runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo yum install libunwind libicu
sudo yum install dotnet-hosting-2.0.8

Add the dotnet product feed

Before installing .NET, you'll need to register the Microsoft key, register the product repository, and install required dependencies. This only needs to be done once per machine.

Open a terminal and run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo rpm --import https://packages.microsoft.com/keys/microsoft.asc
wget -q https://packages.microsoft.com/config/opensuse/12/prod.repo
sudo mv prod.repo /etc/zypp/repos.d/microsoft-prod.repo
sudo chown root:root /etc/zypp/repos.d/microsoft-prod.repo

Install the .NET Runtime

Update the products available for installation, then install the .NET Runtime.

In your terminal, run the following commands:

Terminal
sudo zypper install libunwind libicu
sudo zypper install dotnet-hosting-2.0.8

The previous command will install the .NET Core Runtime Bundle, which includes the .NET Core runtime and the ASP.NET Core runtime. To install just the .NET Core runtime, use the dotnet-runtime-2.0.7 package.

The 2.0.8 release only updated the ASP.NET Core Runtime and the Hosting Bundle, the .NET Core runtime package is still versioned as 2.0.7.
